Marisa Sullivan here, aka Breast Cancer Bandit.

This is the start of what I hope will be an impactful brand and charity organization!

When I was told on my 40th birthday that I had stage 2 triple-negative breast cancer, I had to act fast to preserve my fertility and prevent hair loss from my six months of chemotherapy treatment.

I am beyond grateful for my community who helped in my time of dire need with these high out-of-pocket expenses, which were not covered by my insurance. (I am also beyond grateful I even HAD insurance to cover my treatment and dozens of scans.) I was also able get the remaining portion covered by my hospital through its financial assistance program, which most facilities have FYI!)

Now, as a four-year survivor, I’m helping others navigate through the financial and emotional stress of a new diagnosis (we also offer peer counseling services at no cost).

These warrior shirts are just the beginning of the Breast Cancer Bandit takeover.

Think of me as your slightly twisted, rock ‘n’ roll Fairy Godmother to hold your hand — and make you laugh — along the way.

Thanks for the support, my fellow outlaws!

Though my journey has been far from perfect, with too many dark days to count, I do remember feeling so empowered on this specific day. My doctors said they […]

Celebrating Three Years Cancer-Free at The Pink Palace

February 16, 2023

Have you heard of the Don CeSar in St. Pete Beach, Florida? Dubbed “The Pink Palace,” the entire 1928 Mediterranean-style resort hotel is, you guessed it … PINK! I thought it was the perfect spot to celebrate being three years cancer-free and bust out my first Bandit shirt, hot off the print. Taking a break […]
